Miguel P. Martín

Miguel holds an MBA degree from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. Prior to his business school studies Miguel co-founded Oncohope Medical Board, where he implemented novel healthcare procedures and technologies in Spain, e.g. for genetic sequencing of tumors. Before his start-up, Miguel gathered experience in digital marketing and technologies. First as project manager at Metrika Web and then as head of information systems at Instituto Franklin-UAH, both in Spain. His first job was in Paris, France, where he worked at the Cordeliers Research Center & Institut Cochin as a fellow researcher. Miguel was part of an Global Entrepreneurs Program at MIT Sloan School of Management, was also awarded a scholarship at Harvard Innovation Lab on “Management Research Trends”, both in Boston, MA, and also received a scholarship at Autonomous University (Madrid, Spain) on “Health Management and Economics”.
He is also a national expert at the Spanish Medicines and Health Products Agency (AEMPS) and has volunteered in Logistics and Institutional relations for a medical NGO in Nicaragua.
He holds a B.Sc. In Biology from Complutense University in Madrid.

Ryan is an MBA graduate from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, where he concentrated in strategy, marketing and entrepreneurship. At IE, Ryan completed his studies in both English and Spanish, served on the Board of Directors of the Consulting Club and as Captain of the Rugby Club and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma academic honor society. Prior to business school, Ryan was an Account Executive at FleishmanHillard in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked with multinational clients across a variety of sectors to design, manage and execute projects in marketing and communications strategy. Ryan also served as a volunteer English translator and teacher at the Atlanta Latin American Association, helping immigrant Latino families adjust to new lives in the U.S. Following his undergraduate studies, Ryan taught college English courses as a professor at La Universidad César Vallejo in Trujillo, Peru. Ryan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish.
INCAE MBA ’16
Ericka completed her MBA degree at INCAE Business School in Costa Rica with concentration on Operations and Sustainable Development. Prior to earning her MBA, Ericka was a project engineer at Emerson Process Management in Brazil where she was in charge of the analysis, design and implementation of process and control systems in the hydropower-generated energy industry.
During her MBA Ericka interned at a NGO in Bogotá where she identified the needs of the mining industry and helped create a business model and a value proposition to support NGO’s new business strategy. Ericka holds an undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering from the Institute of Technology in Costa Rica and is an expert on project management according to the standards of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Apart from being knowledgeable on varios computer languages, this engineer played hadball in college where she built her strong belief in teamwork. She also enjoys cycling.
She speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.
Thunderbird MBA ’16
Alina Buzgar earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, in Glendale, Arizona, with a concentration in Global Management Consulting. She had worked for Tata Consultancy Servicies in India and in the US for five and a half years as HR manager and trainer. Later, she was with State Farm for two and a half years working as a change management consultant. For the past ten years, she built a global resume working across Europe, Asia, North America and South America with small companies, multi-national corporations and not-for-profit organizations. As a human resources manager, her work focused on talent management and training delivery, and she led several projects focused on competency management and corporate social responsibility. As a management consultant, her work focused on organizational development and change management.
Alina holds a BA in Organizational Psychology from West University in Romania and speaks native Romanian and is fluent in English and Spanish and basic French.
IESE MBA ’16
Paola Locci obtained her MBA from IESE Business School. After her Masters, she worked for 1 year at EXPERIENTIA, an international user experience design consultancy, with offices in Switzerland, Italy and Singapore, and expertise in ethnography, product and service design. From 2006 to 2011, Paola worked in Milan with IBM Global Technology Services as a finance controller for the HW Maintenance and IT services Business Lines. Paola has also founded a food distributor start-up, and two businesses in the tourism industry.
When she is not developing award-winning innovative products, Paola is discovering foreign cultures, sailing, scuba diving or competing in horse-riding.
Paola holds a BA and MSC Finance and Managerial Accounting from University Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy.
She speaks English, Spanish and French in addition to her native Italian.
