Juan Sebastian Abad earned a Masters in International Business from The Fletcher School of Tufts University. During the program, he completed an internship at State Street Bank in the summer of 2012, working on project finance for Renewable Energy transactions. Also, in his second year at Fletcher, he worked for CEME (Center of Emerging Markets Enterprises), performing equity research for Latin American companies, mainly in Brazil. Juan Sebastian has over three years of experience in the private sector, two of them working as a Corporate Finance and Research Analyst for the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of Analytica Securities C.A., a boutique investment bank based in Quito, Ecuador. During this experience, he participated in local and international M & A projects in the region. In addition, he led the research division of the firm preparing economic and industry analyses for the company’s clients. Juan graduated with Honors from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Marketing.

Jack Yokubaitis earned an MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Before attaining his MBA, Jack worked in business development for Giganews, an Austin-based internet company, and spearheaded their international expansion to Asia and Latin America of their consumer cloud services. During business school, in the summer of 2012, Jack worked for a French start-up company, Nixdo.com, where he consulted on their go-to-market strategy of an online marketing service for local businesses. Jack is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese from years of working throughout Latin America and being an exchange student in Brazil and Mexico. Jack holds a B. S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Greg earned an MBA degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he concentrated in Finance and Social Entrepreneurship. At Fuqua, he was the Lead Fellow at the Center for Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE), led a research team as part of CASE’s Initiative on Impact Investing (i3), and served on the Net Impact Cabinet. During his MBA summer internship, he worked at the Roberts Enterprise Development Fund (REDF) in San Francisco, where he identified opportunities for start-up social enterprises within the home health care industry. Prior to business school, Greg was a Lead Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, DC, where he worked with several federal and state government clients to address challenges related to strategy, change management, and process improvement. Greg also served as a City Year Corps Member in New York City, where he partnered with Harlem’s Children Zone to support daytime and after-school youth development initiatives. Greg holds a B.A. degree in Anthropology, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Virginia

Erik earned an MBA degree from the Yale School of Management. Prior to joining BizCorps, Erik was a Summer Analyst at Nazca Ventures, an early-stage regional venture capital fund located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At Nazca, Erik focused on all phases of the investment process including meeting with entrepreneurs, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and analyzing early-stage startup companies in the technology sector. Prior to Nazca, Erik spent four years as an Analyst and Associate in the Institutional Clients Group at Citigroup. In this role, he supported a team of bankers that provided investment finance, asset management advisory, and capital markets coverage to investment funds and family offices. Erik holds a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Florida.

Benjamin earned a Masters in International Business degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. While at Tufts, he worked for unX / Institute for Business in the Global Context where he designed and conducted an investigation about entrepreneurial and SME development of Colombian enterprises. This involved research and outreach to Colombian governmental institutions, regional entrepreneurial incubators, NGOs and independent entrepreneurs. He has worked in Operational Strategy and Media Communications for Essmart-Global where he was Director of Essmart’s Fellowship program sourcing and coordinating volunteers. He was a Communications Consultant Summer Fellow for the Mae Fah Luang Foundation in Thailand. Ben holds a B.A. degree in Global Studies from the University of California-Santa Barbara.

Vikas earned an MS in Management and a certification on Social Innovation from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business (GSB). Prior to that, Vikas was based in Hungary as a Senior Project Manager for Wipro Limited, India’s third largest Technology company. In his 11 years with Wipro, Vikas worked in various roles in the fields of business development, program management and international expansion. Vikas has worked in seven countries of the world across four continents, with specific focus on emerging economies, and speaks six languages fluently. Vikas’s first social venture was an evening school for manual workers of Wipro, which he co-founded and led for a year.
